BLT421S Lower Protective Window, Cartridge and Cover Guide
Teilen
For a confirmed BLT421S cutting head, identify the lower protective window, cartridge, or cover before selecting a replacement. This is an identification and purchasing reference, not a complete bill of materials or a replacement procedure.
Short answer
The BLT421S manual names the lower protective window, lower protective window cartridge, and lower protective window cover as separate items. Start with the installed position and the component role. A window is not automatically a cartridge or a cover, even when the parts sit next to each other in the assembly.
If the installed head is confirmed as BLT421S and the complete replacement label matches the source-backed D34×5-2S (DP.V.P0049AA) record, use the exact D34×5-2S product variant. Do not select that variant from diameter, a partial code, or the word “drawer” alone.

What the manual names separately
The BLT421S product view distinguishes the first and second lower protective windows from the ceramic part and ceramic body lock ring. Appendix A.1 then separately labels the following lower-window items:
| Manual label | Role to verify before ordering | What not to infer |
|---|---|---|
| 1st-lower protective window | The optical protective-window component in the first lower position | That a second-lower window, cartridge, or cover is the same part |
| 1st-lower protective window cartridge | The carrier assembly named by the manual | That it is supplied with a replacement window |
| Lower protective window cover | A separately labelled cover; the diagram shows DP.M.Q0249AA beside this label |
That the cover's code identifies the window or cartridge |
| 2nd-lower protective window / cartridge | A different lower position and a different listed size in the diagram | That it can be selected from the first-lower record |
The structure diagram labels the first-lower window as D34.0T5-2. This is a manual structural label. It is not, by itself, a store order code or a blanket purchasing recommendation.
Identify the record before selecting a route
- Confirm the cutting-head nameplate says BLT421S, including any relevant suffix on the equipment record.
- Identify whether the installed component is the first lower window, second lower window, a cartridge, or a cover. Use the manual’s component labels, not appearance alone.
- Record the complete text on the removed part or package. Keep every number, separator, and suffix.
- Compare that text with one source-backed store record. The BLT421S manual’s
D34.0T5-2diagram label does not authorize a buyer to shorten, expand, or derive a Part Number. - Only then open a product or Variant route. If more than one field remains uncertain, use the replacement-part confirmation guide.
The conditional store route
The current store mapping separately lists D34×5-2S (DP.V.P0049AA) for BLT421S. It is a purchase path only where the installed model and complete record agree with that mapping.
| Store selection record | Exact route | Appropriate only when |
|---|---|---|
D34×5-2S / DP.V.P0049AA / listed ≤8 kW
|
Open the exact Variant | BLT421S and the complete source-backed selection record match |
The listed power is a supporting cross-check, not a substitute for the Part Number, position, or component role. A cartridge is not assumed to include a window, and a cover is not interchangeable with either.
Where to find the official replacement instructions
The official BLT421S Product Manual (V1.01 file name; Document History V1.0, 2024-03-06) contains the model-specific lower protective window replacement procedure in Appendix A.3. Follow the applicable manual version, its safety notices, authorization requirements, and site procedures. This guide does not reproduce or replace that procedure.
When to request confirmation
Request confirmation instead of guessing when the model is not clearly BLT421S; the removed item is a cartridge or cover but the intended purchase route is a window; the code is incomplete, damaged, or partly visible; the manual diagram and package label point to different positions; or no single source-backed record matches the position, complete Part Number, and model.
Use the replacement-part confirmation guide to prepare the model, component role, complete code, and a clear label photo for a check.
